Doug Fisher is a Principal and Managing Director with Essex Realty Group. Prior to joining Essex in 2002, Mr. Fisher was a Vice President with a privately held investment firm specializing in asset management, investment banking and capital markets services. Previously, he was a Director at JPMorgan Chase and began his career in the bank’s corporate finance and capital markets training program. Mr. Fisher is also one of the founding members of Rockwell Partners, a real estate advisory and management firm dedicated to commercial property management and real estate investment advisory services.
Mr. Fisher has been involved in the sale, acquisition, and development or management of over $1 billion of investment real estate and has been recognized multiple times for his achievements, most recently having been named Chicago’s 2011 and 2013 top investment sales broker awarded by the Chicago Commercial Forum. Mr. Fisher speaks regularly on commercial real estate panels and has personally acted as Receiver, Asset Manager and Turnaround Advisor for over 300 real estate assets for international, national and local financial institutions and private equity firms.
Doug received an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS degree from the University of Wisconsin.
Matt Welke is a Co-Founder and principal of Rockwell Partners and a principal and Managing Director of Essex Realty Group, Inc. Mr. Welke has been recognized multiple times by the Chicagoland Commercial Real Estate Forum for his achievements, his impact on the community, and his professionalism and ethics. Most recently, Mr. Welke was named Chicago’s top real estate investment broker and was honored by GlobeStreet.com and Real Estate Forum as a recipient of the national “40 Under 40” award.
Mr. Welke attended Purdue University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management with minors in Finance and Manufacturing Management.
Ted Thilman, Co-Founder and Principal of Rockwell Partners, is responsible for overseeing the firm’s property management and asset management services. Mr. Thilman focuses on the execution of new acquisition strategies for Rockwell and its clients. Since 2007 he has also been responsible for more than 100 receivership assignments throughout the Midwest. Prior to Rockwell, Thilman was an Associate at M3 Capital Partners, an investment bank that specializes in raising institutional capital for real estate operators globally.
Mr. Thilman earned his BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from The University of Chicago with a concentration in Finance and Accounting.
Pat Bader, Co-Founder and Principal of Rockwell Partners, is the Managing Broker of Rockwell and is responsible for overseeing property management and leasing operations. Mr. Bader founded Rockwell Group Property Management, the predecessor to Rockwell Partners, in 2005. Prior to Rockwell, Mr. Bader worked for a Fortune 500 company providing financial, estate, investment and tax planning services.
Mr. Bader received a BS in Finance from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University, and he attained his Certified Property Management designation in 2015. Mr. Bader is also on the Leadership Council for the Western Golf Association and is a member of the Lincoln Square Special Services Area Committee.
Jason Fishleder, Principal of Rockwell Partners, has been with Rockwell since its inception and recently transitioned into a full-time role as Head of Acquisitions in 2016.
Mr. Fishleder concurrently worked at Essex Realty Group, Inc. from 2008 through 2015, concentrating on business development and deal analysis. Prior to Rockwell and Essex, Jason worked as an Underwriting/Originations Real Estate Analyst at Bridger Commercial Funding, a Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities lender. Previously, he was an Associate in the #1 Corporate Cash Management group at UBS Financial Services.
Fishleder received a BA degree from Northwestern University, majoring in Economics with a minor in Spanish, and is a licensed Broker in the State of Illinois.
